02/04/23 Member Led Fly Tying Session with Mark Bange and Harry Steiner

Bluegill flies and Soft hackle techniques

Mark & I will be leading the Feb 4th tying class, Mark will be tying a bluegill fly and I will be doing soft hackle.
 For my portion you will need a standard nymph hook 12-16, thread 6/0 orange (but any color you have will do), hares ear dubbing (only a little needed), and partridge soft hackle feather or similar.  I will have some supplies if you are missing something. –H Steiner

I will be joining Harry on 4 February to tie a fly that is a variant of the Bluegill Bully.  I call it a Bully Bugger. It’s easy to tie and effective in many colors:  I will provide the hooks and materials.  You need only to bring your vise and preferred tying thread.  –M Bange
