Our club has been approached by the Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park to have several members of Free State Fly Fishers come and participate in their “Rods and Reels in the Park” on Sunday, April 16th from 10 AM to 2 PM. This event is geared towards introducing people to fishing, including fly fishing.
The Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park would like us to set up a table at which participants can both watch someone tying flies and they can also tie some very simple flies themselves. And second, they would like us to set up a fly casting demonstration/clinic on the river.
This event will be located at the Daniels section of Patapsco Valley State Park.
I am asking for a handful of volunteers to participate in this event, either tying flies or doing casting demonstrations or both during the day. I will share more logistics information with our fellow club members who sign up to help.
Potomac Patuxent Trout Unlimited Chapter will also be participating in this event.
