06/05/19 Club Meeting – Hands on Casting Practice

Dear Free State Members, We’re fast approaching our Wednesday, June 5th meeting.  I want to share with you the details of what we’re planning. First of all, come early and come hungry.  That’s right, instead of our usual start time, our June 5th meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.  The first item on the agenda will be a buffet courtesy of the club.  So, bring your appetite.  We’ll spend the first portion of our meeting enjoying good food and each other’s company. Then, we’ll use June’s extra daylight to go outside for casting demos and instruction by fellow members Joe Bruce, Duber Winters and Luis Santiago.  Joe will also teach us how to tie our own sink tips.   I’m certain other fly fishing topics will arise and you’ll rarely find a more enthused or knowledgeable collection of experts to discuss them with.  It promises to be a fun meeting. So, remember, the date is Wednesday, June 5th, and our meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.  Further, we’ll have a buffet set up when you arrive with various lunch meats, cheeses, condiments, breads and salads.  We’ll also have wings and soft drinks.  Don’t be late!
