September 5, 2020 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
We are kicking off our coming year of fly tying sessions virtually this coming Saturday at 10 AM. Wayne Blake-Hedges will be leading the session and showing us how to tie large baitfish patterns.
The specific baitfish pattern Wayne will be demonstrating was designed for fly fishing for musky, but will work as a good fly for Bay and tidal waters fishing as well as large largemouth bass.
Materials:Hook: large freshwater or saltwater hookThread: typically tied with nylon thread but you can use regular thread Body: synthetic hair, puglisi hair, Congo hair, or other synthetic hairFlash: crystal flash; angel hairEyes: large fish eyes
Come join us this coming Saturday morning even if you don’t have all the listed materials–you will learn some new fly tying techniques as well as see some of your fellow club members. Below is the information for connecting into our Zoom meeting.
