12/21/20 Outing – Unicorn Lake

Have you ever seen a unicorn in winter?

You can this coming Monday.  The weather forecast calls for air temperatures in the low 40s and winds below 5 mph.  

A few of your fellow club members are going to launch their kayaks  at Unicorn Lake on Monday, 21 December  (the winter solstice) between 11:00 a.m. and noon. 

They’ll definitely see a Unicorn but what they hope most to see are Unicorn’s pickerels.  

Unicorn Lake is on the Eastern Shore of MD near Millington:

There is limited shore fishing available but the best access is by kayak. 

No group lunch before or dinner afterward is planned.  Just safe social distancing as we launch and on the water as we fish.

This is a cold water outing.  Your on-the-water skills and protective gear must match those conditions. 

If the weather forecast changes for the worse, I will cancel this outing by announcing it here tomorrow afternoon/evening.
